Airport pick up from Normal Manley International Airport
The tour will begin 9:00 am with an introduction to your assigned tours guide/driver and other members of the tour. The tour guide will be brief the group on the schedule of activities for the tour. Then we will make our first stop at National Heroes Park which is the burial site of Jamaica’s National Heroes, former Prime Ministers and cultural leaders. Then it is off to Rockfort Mineral Spa which is a public bath facility containing minerals and other substances which is reputed to have healing and therapeutic properties. Have a swim and re-energize your body.
Take a peek into history, who knows you might find some missing treasures. Visit what was said to be the “richest, wickedest, and most sinful city in world”, Port Royal. This place has been featured in numerous movies and was known for being the home of pirates. Port Royal was destroyed by a earthquake in 1692 and the giddy house stands as a reminder of that catastrophic event.
Lets take a trip to two of Jamaica’s most historical great houses, the Cherry Gordan Great House and Devon’s House. Enjoy the scenic view at Cherry Gordon’s Great House a beautiful architectural home that was constructed in the mid-eighteenth century. This property was owned by Jamaica’s National Hero, George William Gordon. Next, we will head over to Devon House which was the residence of Jamaican’s first colored millionaire. Enjoy the botanical garden and purchase some delicious, mouth watering ice-cream. Sample exotic flavored ice-cream such as Devon Stout, Rocky River, Guava, Coconut and many others at the ice-cream café.
Visit Emancipation park and take a photo under the statue of freedom sculpture Redemption Song takes it’s name from Bob Marley’s same name. This park contains fountains, public art works, and an exercise trail. Take a few minutes relax, sip a drink and have some good conversation with fellow visitors to the park. Our final stop for the day will be at Helshire beach where you can spend a relaxing evening on the beach eating freshly prepared sea seafood at your own expense. Let your hair down and unwind, after a very informative and relaxing adventure tour.
Tours ends in Kingston where you can either continue your adventure on the island or request airport drop-off and head home from your wonderful exciting Jamaican vacation.
